"Everyone deserves to have a voice."

Hi, I'm Alfonso.

My background

I am a psychopedagogue and teacher in Early Childhood and Special Education, with a specialisation in Early Intervention. I have spent years working in special education schools, occupational centres and day centres, supporting learners with neurodevelopmental conditions and people with disabilities.

Why I built ComunicaTEA

ComunicaTEA grew from my day-to-day experience in those settings. After years supporting learners with autism and other educational needs, I kept seeing the same two problems:

On one hand, AAC tools were hard to use — both for the professionals who had to configure them and for the learners who needed them. Many existing apps assumed a level of technical or motor skill that simply did not match reality.

On the other hand, many centres were still working with traditional paper-based pictograms, without access to complete digital systems because of cost or complexity. Sign language, while valuable, also has its limits when the surrounding environment — families, professionals, peers — does not know it.

I wanted to create something that would change that. A tool designed first for the user: one that works offline, with clear pictograms, natural voice and an AI that learns from daily use. My goal has always been the same: to improve the quality of life of disabled people and build more inclusive environments where no one is left without a voice.

Other projects

My interest in autism and neurodevelopmental conditions goes beyond ComunicaTEA. I am the author of this practical guide about ADHD published on Amazon. The approach is the same: understanding ADHD from a strengths-based perspective, not a deficit one, and giving families real tools to support their children.
